The French and Indians were fighting against the British and the colonists.

Was sent to evict the French from Ohio because it had been given to wealthy land owners . It was the catalyst for his military career.

Great Britain won the war claiming all land east of the Mississippi River including New Orleans while the French only kept Haiti.

A rule made by the king saying that all settlers must stay east of the Appalachian mountains.

A tax on sugar and molasses. Even though the tax was cut in half it angered colonists because they had not been paying taxes anyway, they had been smuggling the goods .

The rocky soil in the north diversified the economy because farmers had to find different things to grow .
