Blended Family
A family based on kinship ties that accumulate as a consequence of divorce and remarriage
Cohabitation
Living together; refers to relationships in which two people live in the same household and share sexual, emotional, and often economic ties without being legally married.
Egalitarian family
Power and authority are shared somewhat equally between husband and wife
Extended Family
Three or more generations of people who live together or in close proximity and whose lives and livelihoods are closely intertwined

a number of different types of family exist side by side each having an attraction for some people

Number determined by dividing the number of divorces each year by the total number of existing marriages in that year
Serial Monogamy
A person is allowed to have more than one spouse, just not at the same time. Marriage, divorce, marriage
