A number that describes a population

What is bias and how do we prevent it?
A bias is when a certain group is being favored, and to prevent it random sampling is best in studies
What is variability?
Variability is how spread out the values of a sample are
What is a margin of error?
It tells us how far we think we are from the parameter
What is a confidence statement?
A statement that tells how accurate we believe the results are
What is a random sample error?
Difference between sample and population due to chance
What is a non sampling error?
Errors that are not related to the act of choosing a sample
What is a nonresponse error?
When individuals fail to respond
What is a response error?
When the subject gives an incorrect response
What is undercoverage?
When certain groups are left out from a study
