  • What was it? It was the revolution of 1848 when many protest and movement against monarchy happened again in Europe.
  • Where did it start and why (remote and proximal causes) It started in France because the French Revolution in 1789 had spread the seeds of democracy and nationalism.
  • What was at stake? (who vs. whom, and for what?) It was between the people who against monarchy system and the monarchs. They wanted to fight for their freedom.
  • What were the results? (both short- and long-term) In the short-term, the revolution failed, but the movement and impact had affected the democracy in the future at a strong level.
