Chapter 4: Optimized Fleet Response Plan Phase REquirements Flashcards
(31 cards)
What is OFRP?
* Optimized Fleet Response Plan (4-1)
What are the phases of the OFRP?
* Maintenance * Basic * Integrated * Sustainment (4-1)
What is the purpose of the OFRP?
* Is a balanced, sustainable, and predictable approach to maximize employability. (4-1)
Define the Fleet Response Training Plan (FRTP) requirements?
* Is a flexible and scalable approach to training that meets the dynamic requirements of the Fleet Response Plan(FRP). (4-1)
What drives the transition between one phase to the next?
* Material readiness and demonstrated proficiency. (4-4)
What are the three exercises ships are required to perform throughout the FRTP in order to achieve certification and maintain proficiency?
* Certification Exercise(CE) * Advanced Exercises(AE) * Repetitive Exercises (RE) (4-6)
When are Certification Exercises?
* Conducted in the Basic Phase * Prerequisite to mission area certification * Conducted by ATG (4-6)
When are Advanced Exercises?
* Conducted following the basic phase * Primarily conducted during group sail * Assessed by Carrier Strike Groups/Amphibious Ready Groups (4-6)
When are Repetitive Exercises?
* Conducted by ship’s force following mission area certification in order to maintain proficiency in each mission area (4-6)
What is the focus of sustainment phase?
* Maintain readiness across full spectrum of mission areas in order to be ready to conduct prompt and sustained combat operations. (4-6)
During the Sustainment Phase, what is the minimum TFOM score required at all times?
* TFOM score of 80% in all mobility and tactical mission areas (Explosive Safety 70% and 3M 85%) (4-6)
What is a READ-E1, and what phase is it conducted in?
* A ships self-assessment conducted during the sustainment phase. (4-7)
The purpose of the READ-E1 is for the ship to perform a critical self-assessment of what three areas?
* Manning * Material * Schooling (4-7)
READ-E3 are led by whom, and conducted in what phase?
* TYCOM led events conducted during the sustainment phase to set the groundwork for successful Maintenance and Basic Phases. (4-8)
What five areas are reviewed during the READ-E1 Validation?
* Manning * Material Condition * Critical and Required Schools * Management Programs * Assessment of Proficiency across all mission areas (4-8)
What are the three primary events validated during the READ-E3?
* READ-E1 Validation * Safety and Occupational Health (SOH) * Command Readiness Assist Visit (CRAV) (4-8)
What is the focus of the Maintenance Phase?
* Establish a material foundation that will support Basic Phase training. (4-10)
List the five events that are conducted in the READ-E4?
* Light off Assessment (LOA) * Crew Certification * Fast Cruise * Navigation Assessment * Contractor Sea Trials (Not performed in FDNF) (4-12)
Who conducts LOA inspections?
* Engineering Assessment Atlantic/Pacific (EAA or EAP) (4-12)
What are three reasons to conduct a LOA?
* Sea Trials * CNO Availability of 120 days or greater in length * With TYCOM deems it necessary (4-12)
What are the three FRTP Variations?
* Full Basic Phase * Abbreviated Basic Phase * Certification Extension
What is Full Basic Phase?
Ships that have a scheduled CNO availability
What is Abbreviated Basic Phase?
* When a ship is not allotted sufficient time to complete a full Basic Phase following a CNO availability. * A tailored training plan will be established based upon the results from the READ-E3.
What is Certification Extension?
Ships without a dedicated CNO availability between scheduled deployments remain in sustainment and will execute a certification verification to support extension.
