Why is it important that Christ ascended into heaven?
Jesus’s ascension was important because it gives us hope that we may one day be united in heaven, body and soul. Jesus reigned in glory at gods right hand to send us the holy spirit
What happened to Jesus after His death on the cross?
After Jesus died on the cross He decended into the realm of the dead. He later opened up the gates of Heaven.
What is redemption?
Jesus redeems us from sin. He does this through his passion, death, resurrection, and ascension.
Who is at fault for the death of Jesus?
Many try to blame the Jewish people the for death of Jesus, but this is wrong to do so. Those who continue to sin are really at fault for the death of Jesus.
Why is the Paschal Mystery a sign of Christ’s love?
The Pascal mystery is a sign of Christ’s love because it is the act of saving us from death. Love is measured through sacrifice and Jesus had the ultimate sacrifice.
How do we participate in Christ’s Paschal Mystery?
Christ is present in the sacraments. These sacraments allow us to participate in Christ’s Paschal Mystery.
What crime is Jesus accused of to be condemned?
Jesus was condemned after being accused for blasphemy. Pilate accused him of undermining Caesars authority.
What is the significance about Christ’s glorified body?
Jesus’s glorified body was significant because it was no longer bound to earthy limits. It was no longer affected by sickness or death.
What does the Resurrection show about Christ’s divinity?
The Resurrection shows Christ divinity because only God has power over death. It shows that Jesus was telling the truth when he was claiming to be God.
What does Jesus’s prayer in the Garden of Gethsemane show?
Jesus’s prayer in the Garden of Gethsemane shows the agony that Jesus suffered. Despite this, He still surrendered to God’s will.
How do we know the Resurrection is a historical event?
We know the Resurrection is a historical event because St. Mary Magdalene and the Apostles saw the empty tomb and encountered the risen Jesus. Also, St. Paul says the risen Jesus appeared to about 500 people.
What is the liturgy?
The Sacraments are celebrated through liturgy. It gives us grace.
How does the Holy Spirit sanctify us?
The Holy Spirit sanctifies us. The Holy Spirit does this with sanctifying grace.
How is Mary a sign of our hope?
Mary assumed body and soul into Heaven. She is a sign of our hope because she anticipates our resurrection at the end times.
Why did Christ institute the Church?
Christ instituted the Church to make Redemption known to the world. He needed to do this to make its fruits effective within us.
