Q

Does the doctrine of the clarity of Scripture mean that the New Testament can be fully understood by people who do not have access to an Old Testament?

A

Yes. The New Testament can stand alone because according to the clarity of Scripture doctrine, the teachings of the Bible are able to be understood by all who will read it and seek God’s help.

Q

Explain differences between doctrines and morals. What do they mean to you? Where do you stand?

A

Doctrines are what the Bible says about a topic. Morals are our own personal beliefs and convictions. There are doctrines that shape our morals and the Holy Spirit convicts us and guides us through them. Sometimes we may disagree on certain ethics but must stay true to doctrinal beliefs.
