Tenosynovitis
Inflammation of the tendon and its sheath
Tendinitis
Tendonitis
Inflammation of the tendon, cause by injury or overuse. Shoulders, elbow, hip
Strain
Trauma to a muscle because of overuse or excessive stretch
Sprain
Injury of a ligament caused by abnormal or excessive force at a joint, without bone dislocation of fracture
Repetitive strain injury (RSI)
Tissue damage caused by repeating motion. Overuse syndrome
Polymyositis
Disease of unknown cause involving muscle inflammation and weakness
Myasthenia gravis (MG)
Autoimmune disease affecting the neuromuscular junction, characterized by progressive muscle weakness
Muscular dystrophy
A group a hereditary muscular disorders marked by progressive weakness and atrophy of muscles
Fibromyalgia syndrome (FMS)
A disorder associated with widespread muscular arches and stiffness, no known cure
Dermatomyositis
Inflammation of muscles as well as dermatitis and skin rashes, unknown origin
Chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS)
Persistent fatigue, muscle and joint pain, unknown cause of disease
Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS)
Lou Gehrig disease. Degeneration of motor neurons resulting in muscle weakness and atrophy
