Term
Each number in a sequence.
Sequence
An ordered list if numbers.
Arithmetic sequence
Two constant terms Ate added or subtracted have the same amount
Common difference
The amount that the terms are added/subtracted in an arithmetic sequence.
Constant ratio
A fixed value.
Geometric sequence
A sequence with the ratio between two consecutive terms constant.
Domain
The set of input values for a function.
Range
The set of out put values for a function.
Function table
A table used to organize in put functions rule, and out put values.
Function
A realtionship that assigns exactly one out put value for each in put value.
How to read: f(x)=”the function for x “ for x”
Rise
Changes in vertical distance (y-axis).
Run
The change in the horizontal distance (X-axis).
Direct variation
When ratio of 2 variables quantities is a constant.
Constant variation
The constant ratio in a direct variation.
Slope intercept form
An equation written in form
Y=mx+b where m is the slope and b is the Y-intercept.
Scatter plot
A graph what shows the general relationship between two sets of data
Line of best fit
A line that very close to most of the data plots in a scatter plot.
System of equation
A set of two or more equations with the same variable.
Independent variable
The variable of the input of a Function.
Dependent variable
Variable of the out put variation.
Slope
The ratio of rise to run.
