It indicates the length of the holding pattern within which the diamond is found.

On your ERC you see a circle with a ‘M’ inside it. What does this indicate to you?
A
This indicates that that position is a Meteorological Reporting Point. This means, that for aircraft fitted with Aircraft Meteorological Data Relay (AMDAR) have to make a meteorological weather report (AIREP) to ATC.
