Q

What is the difference between physical and chemical change?

A

There are several differences between a physical and chemical change in matter or substances. A physical change in a substance doesn’t change what the substance is. In a chemical change where there is a chemical reaction, a new substance is formed and energy is either given off or absorbed.

Q

What does catalyst mean and what does a catalyst do❓❓

A

a substance that increases the rate of a chemical reaction without itself undergoing any permanent chemical change.
And Catalysis. A catalyst speeds up a reaction by lowering the activation energy required for the reaction to proceed. To reiterate, catalysts do not affect the equilibrium state of a reaction.
