What is motor development?
It is the continuous change in physical movement
What skills does motor development give?
Walking, climbing, jumping, running
What gross and fine motor skills develop at a young age?
drawing, doing up buttons, drawing
How does nutrition affect the child's growth & development?
A child that does not have a adequate diet will not grow and develop as quickly as a health well-fed child
How does genetics affect the child's growth & development?
Genetics has a great influence on their growth and development
How does the environment affect the child's growth & development?
Pollution, space availability and opportunities for recreation are all factors that effect the child
What is attachment?
an extension or strengthening of the bonding that first takes place between the baby and its caregivers
What is socialisation?
its a lifelong process, although it is most sensitive during childhood and adolescence
