Crucifixion-important/significance for Christians today
God understands suffering because Jesus suffered on the cross, therefore Christians except that suffering is a part of life.
It gives Christians confidence that if they accept Jesus is sacrifice Sin can no longer destroy their lives as God forgives those who faithfully ask for forgiveness
Jesus is sacrificed as remembrance during holy communion or mass (the Eucharist)
Jesus’ resurrection-important/significance for Christians today
Shows the power of good over evil
God will forgive their sins if they follow the teachings of Christianity
By accepting Jesus, they can also be resurrected in someway therefore they have no need to fear death
Jesus’ Ascension-important/significance for Christians today
As Jesus sent her to heaven, he’s believed to live so he can help and watch over Christians.
Shows that Jesus is with God and paves the way for the coming of the holy spirit to provide comfort and guidance
The incarnation
God cared enough about Christians to become a human and die for them
Helps Christians to have a more personal relationship with God as it is easier to relate to him in incarnate form and shows God wanted a relationship too
Shows God has powered to become human, raised from the dead perform miracles and grant life after death therefore Christians can look forward to the afterlife

What’s the difference between salvation and atonement?
Salvation is what Christians believe Jesus brought them and atonement refers to how Christians believe he did it
