Christian celebration taking place five Sunday’s before Christmas. Representative of Christ’s coming.

The Unmoved Mover
Everything that exists must have an origin.
Cause and Effect
One thing, in some way, causes something else.
Contingent/Necessary Existence
Nothing is necessary beyond the origin, which is basically - in the end - God.
Graduation
There are levels to everything. Something is beautiful, but that makes something else more beautiful. In the end the scale of perfection, ends with God.
Teleological Argument
Everything, and person, has a purpose in the plan of life.

Celebrated during the 40 days before Easter. A self reflective time before Easter,ma reminder of life’s finiteness. Mostly upheld by the Catholic tradition.
What is Epiphany?
Eastern tradition. January 6th. This is the day that gifts are exchanged.
What is Good Friday?
The day representing Christ’s crucifixion.
What is Easter?
Most important day to the Christian tradition. Day of Christ’s resurrection. A symbol of death conquered. Thus saving the world from their sins.
What is Pentecost?
50 Days after Easter. A recognition of the day the Holy Spirit descended on the early believers after Christ’s ascension to heaven.
How many sacraments are in the Roman Catholic tradition, and what are they?
- 7 Sacraments
- Baptism, Eucharist (Communion), Marriage, Anointment of the dying, Ordination, Confirmation.
How many sacraments are in the Protestant tradition, and what are they?
- 2 Sacraments
- Baptism, Eucharist (Communion)
Explain the difference between child baptism and adult baptism.
Child Baptism: Grace leads to Faith (Sign)
Adult Baptism: Faith acknowledges Grace (Symbol)
