What is total war?
Total war is an all out effort given to ensure a victory, and normal rules of war are suspended to destroy the morale and spirit of the other side
How did stonewall Jackson get his nickname
When he stood like a “stonewall” and held back union forces at the battle of bull run.
What were the two factors in Lincolns decision to send resupplies to fort Sumter
If he did do it could be seen as an act of aggression. If he didn’t do it then it would be acknowledged that the South controlled the fort, not the union
How did union leadership ruin the chances to win the war at Antietam
The union found lees battle plans, but general McClellan didn’t act on it, like a fool. When lees army retreated, McClellan didn’t go after them because he was paranoid and stupid.
What were the conditions to the confederates surrender.
They got to go home and keep living

Lee launched an all or nothing attack with 15000 troops. General George picket was ordered to charge the union across an open feild. They hardly made it to the union. Half of the confederates involved were either dead or wounded.
