Wrapping up interview:
Before I bring our meeting to a close, can I ask whether this interview has covered all your needs or whether there is anything else you would like to discuss

Next steps:
Perfect, lets confirm the next steps.

With regards to next steps I think it would be best for you to [set out next steps the client should take depending on problems they’re looking to resolve]

Follow up letter
I will send a follow up letter detailing this advice later on in the week

Complaints procedure:
Just to notify you we do have a complaints procedure which is in writing and which I will send you following the interview. Please read it carefully and if you have any questions about it, please ask me.”

[insert client name] thank-you so much for your time it was a pleasure meeting you. If I need anything further, I’ll be in touch. In the meantime, if you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact me.

Costs
I will send you a follow up letter by the end of the week summarising the details of this interview and the preliminary advice given today. It should taken about 1 hour to draft. Please may I take this opportunity to remind you that my hourly rate is £240 + VAT.

Difficult to estimate costs- “At this moment it is difficult to estimate the amount of time that will be required to complete [ X Matter/Task], but I will keep you regularly up to date with costs as the matter progresses”

Complaints procedure:
