  1. Aux 1- stbd bulkhead next to doghouse to diesel 1
  2. Aux 2- in the doghouse to diesel 2
  3. Aux 3- aft bulkhead port of centerline
  4. Boiler shack- in the portside vestibule down to aux 3
  5. ECC- stbd of the dog house to the motor gear room

How do you operate a CO2 hose reel?

A
  1. Remove the hose from the reel
  2. Pull the pin from both CO2 bottles
  3. Open the valve on the hose
  4. Test for agent
  5. Aim at the base of the fire and squeeze trigger

What locations are protected by fixed

A
  1. Paint locker (04 bottles inside space)
  2. All 3 turbine enclosures (04 bottles next to enclosure #1, 02 bottles next to enclosure #2)
  3. JP-5 space (08 bottles)

Where are the activation stations for fixed CO2 systems?

A
  1. Paint locker - outside paint locker door and outside anchor windlass door
  2. Turbine enclosures - activate locally
    ONLY
  3. JP-5 space - inside the ladderwell on the JP-5 deck, or in the ladderwell one deck above

What are the indicating lights for fixed CO2? What do they mean?

A

White - CO2 is ready for discharge
Yellow - CO2 will discharge in 30 sec
Red - CO2 is discharged

Who, how, and why are fixed CO2 systems activated?

A

Who - Anyone for the paint locker and
JP-5 space; EOW only for turbine enclosures as turbines must be stopped prior to activation

How - Break glass and pull both handles until red

Why - Charlie fires and out of control
Bravo fires
