Explain Baddley’s study of encoding in LTM.

A

4 groups, 4 lists. 2 lists coded acoustically similar and different, 2 lists coded semantically similar and different. Participants were given the lists in the wrong order and had to recall them back in the right order. There was a 20 minute interval after being shown the words where the participants were doing something else. This was repeated 4 times.
