What is a cofactor?
A
A non protein compound that some enzymes need to be present in order to work

What are coenzymes?
A
Small organic molecules which bind temporarily to the active site along with the substrate. They take part in the reaction and are altered.

What is a prosthetic group?
A
Non protein molecules permanently bound to the enzyme. Without the group the enzyme cannit function.
