Q

Why might CBT not work for the most severe cases?

A

Evidence: Depression sometimes can be so severe that patients cannot motivate themselves to engage with therapy and may not be able to pay attention to what is happening in a session. So antidepressant drugs are used
Explanation: CBT cannot be used as the sole treatment for depression
