Q

What is a limitation of Kohnken’s research?

Q

Why are false positives a weakness?

A

Because despite seeming like more information has been collected, if this incorrect it could lead to false imprisonments and wasting police time reducing the effectiveness of the CI

Q

How can false positives have an effect on the economy?

A

It can waste prison space and police time if there are false imprisonments. Taxpayer’s money could be spent elsewhere to benefit society, reducing the credibility that the CI may have to society

Q

What did Milne and Bull find?

A

Found that each of the 4 techniques used alone produced more information than the standard however they also found that using a combination of report everything and context reinstatement produced better recall than any of the other elements.
