An email that tricks you into giving personal or sensitive information
What is a trojan horse/malware?
Program that installs a virus on computer when opened
What does the Computer Misuse Act 1990 state?
It is illegal to look at or modify someone’s files without their information
What is hacking?
Illegally accessing or modifying someone’s files without their permission
What is a logic bomb?
Malicious code hidden inside a legitimate program that executes specific instructions in specific conditions
What is ransomware?
Software illegally installed on a computer so user can’t access their files till a ransom is paid
What is a computer virus?
Virus that replicates and installs itself on computer without consent
What is online copyright infringement?
Using or sharing copyrighted material on the internet without permission
What is plagiarism?
Copying someone else’s work and presenting it as your own
