Tá áit lárnach ag an dúlra sa dán. Úsáideann an file an dúlra chun a ghrá a chuir in iúl. Dár leis an bhfile, is duine soineanta, gleoite agus álainn í Lara. Tá a lán grá ag an athair di. Ceapann an athair go bhfuil sí foirfe sa meafair seo:
“ is cumhracht tusa,
Is mil, is sú talún”
Nature plays a central role in the poem. The poet uses nature to express his love. According to the poet, Lara is a cheerful, cute and beautiful person. The father loves her very much. The father thinks that she is perfect in this metaphor:
“ you are a fragrance,
You are honey, you are a strawberry”
Meallán sí rudaí ón dúlra. Bíonn sí i measc na coiníní agus na nóiníní.
She attracts things from nature. She is among the rabbits and the daisies.
