Cultural Revitalization

Acculturation
Cultural modification of an individual, group or people by adapting to or borrowing traits from another culture
Assimilation
the process whereby individuals or groups of differing ethnic heritage are absorbed into the dominant culture of a society. The process of assimilating involves taking on the traits of the dominant culture to such a degree that the assimilating group becomes socially indistinguishable from other members of the society
Accommodation
The act of a host nation or place accommodating the needs or identity of a minority in order to accept or make it easier for the minorities to become accepted.
Integration
An act or instance of uniting a racial, religious or ethnic group (ending systematic segregation)
Marginalization
- The process in which individuals or entire communities of people are systematically blocked from (or denied full access to) various rights, opportunities and resources that are normally available to members of a different group.
Universalization
The production by media transnationals of the majority of television programs, films, magazines, and so on that are consumed by a vast world audience
Hybridization
The blending of multiple ideas to form a new thing that still contains components of all ideas which affects identity through globalization
Diversification
To change (something) so that it has different kinds of people or things.
Dualism
The idea of practicing two different cultures
