BP- Systolic <90mmHg or 40mmHg Drop
HR- 130bpm
RR- >25per min
O2- Above 92% with O2
Urine Output- <0.5ml/kg/hr
Lactate- >2mmol
Signs of Sepsis
Cyanosis
Hypotension
Fever/Hypothermia
Non-Blanching Rash
Molten/Ashen Appearance
Low Urine Output
Tacchycardia
Symptoms of Sepsis
Localising Symptoms of infection e.g cough, vomiting, diarrhoea
Drowsiness
Confusion
Dizziness
Malaise- General Feeling of discomfort/illness
Causes/Risk Factors of Sepsis
Infection-
Pregnancy-
Diabetes-
Hospitalised Patients e.g ICU or Indwelling Catheters
Recent Surgery
Immunocompromised-Steroid Use, Malignancy
Alcohol/drug use
Age <1y/o or >65y/o
