Why is this a problem (think about why justices and peers have a security of tenure)
2 years compared to 5 years (maximum if the PM prolongs calling the election and one isn’t forced)
This is an issue for the representatives because it’s probable that they’ll the spend what time they’re afforded thinking mostly about what actions will allow them to keep their position when their seat is up for election again, distracting them from duties.
