A

Other people are affected as there is a wider impact than the immediate result
Called secondary victims
Example - employers lose money as dv victims miss work
Example - murder victim’s family grieve

A

An act is no longer seen as a crime but it’s still illegal
This is due to a lack of public interest so there’s no formal punishment
Example - speeding or prostitution

What is police prioritization?

A

Crimes that go unreported are seen as unimportant to the public so the police doesn’t prioritize it
The resources put into the unreported crime go to other crimes that are seen as more pressing such as knife crime
Example - white collar crime
