GnRH agonist

A

MOA: downreg of axis, suppression of menses, shrinkage of fibroids, suppression of endometriotic implants

AE:
-Flare” response with increase bleeding or symptoms
-Menopausal symptoms (e.g., hot flashes, vaginal dryness, bone loss [temporary])

Administration with daily norethindrone = decrease bone loss
