Ranolazine

A

Na-channel blocker anti-anginal drug. It increases oxygen efficiency.

May prolong QT-interval, not taken with other drugs prolonging QT-interval.

Trimetazidine

A

First cytoprotective anti-ischemic agent.

Inhibits ß-oxidation of fatty acids. (Requires more oxygen/energy)

Not used in PK disease and severe renal impairment; CrCl <30ml/min.

A

A new organic nitrate with vasodilator properties.

It has the dual properties of a nitrate and potassium channel activators.

Associated with a risk of gastrointestinal ulceration.

Ivabradine

A

First inhibitor for sinus node pacemaker.

Most common side effect: Luminous phenomena or phosphenes. (Seeing light without light entering the eyes)

Metabolized by CYP3A4 (affected by inhibitors)
