Open- objects appear larger
Closed - objects appear smaller
Flat- objects appear at the correct size

What is redshift?
A
z = v/c
The redshift is how many times the speed of light goes into the recessional velocity

Why can z above 1?
A
This is because z is representive of the current recessional velocity, but the light we are seeing is released prior to Z = 1 so it still has time to reach us
