A federal law. It is a grant statute which provides funds to states. IEP and Least Restrictive Environment (LRE) stuff in it
ADA and section 504
Anti-discrimination laws, which do not provide any funding. They DO both provide rights of equal access. ADA = Americans with Disabilities Act. Section 504 is a section of the Rehabilitation Act. Section 504 protects rights from programs that are already funded –> it does NOT protect funds.
FAPE
Free and Appropriate Public Education. Mandated by the IDEA and required by section 504
