A

After takeoff, enter the right downwind at 1000’ MSL (for downwind terrain avoidance) and proceed to MASS-3. Pass to the left (south) of the MASS-3 complex. Turn left (southbound) and proceed to the Oceanside VORTAC. Maintaining at or below 800’ MSL, remain to the left (South) of Stuart Mesa housing area and pass just to the south (left) of the Oceanside VORTAC. SVFR WX Mins: 800/1

A

After takeoff, maintain runway heading and proceed to Lake O’Niel at 500’ AGL and continue to north initial at 3000’ MSL. Report North Initial Clear. Avoid over flight of the town of Fallbrook below 3000’ MSL

RWY 21 Vortac Departure

A

After takeoff, proceed direct to MASS-3 and pass to the left of the MASS-3 complex at 800’ MSL, remain to the left of the Stuart Mesa housing area and pass just to the left of the oceanside VORTAC . Report Oceanside VORTAC clear. Aircraft departing to the north staying within the R2503 will remain over the shoreline until past the LCAC facility. Aircraft shall remain at or below 800’ MSL until clear of the LCAC facility to the north. Aircraft departing to the north and NOT remaining within the R2503 will proceed at least one mile offshore and then continue to their destination. Aircraft departing the shoreline to the south will fly at least one mile offshore then proceed to their destination. SVFR 800/1

A

After takeoff, turn right for the downwind and depart via the downwind (heading 020 magnetic). Remain left (west) of the old Naval Hospital. Remain left (west) of Point Canyon and maintain 800’ MSL. Report Poin Canyon Clear. Remain clear of North Initial (Fallbrook weapons station Water Tower). If proceeding to De Luz Canyon, notify Tower and switch to LONGRIFLE entering De Luz Canyon. If departing east avoid the town of Fallbrook. SVFR WX Mins: 800/1

RWY 03 LCAC Arrival

A

Aircraft arriving from the north shall remain at least one mile offshore until one-half mile north of the LCAC facility. Pass north of the LCAC facility, maintain 1000’ MSL and request an LCAC entry from Tower. Aircraft arriving from the south remain at least one mile off the shoreline until abeam the LCAC facility. Pass north of the LCAC facility, maintain 1000’ MSL and request an LCAC entry from Tower. With Tower communication established, proceed to MASS-3 and pass to the north (left) for a straight in to RWY 03. Aircraft may descend once inside of class “D” airspace and clear of the Edison Range Impact Area. Aircraft not in communication with Tower remain clear to the northwest of the LCAC dacility and class “D” airspace until communication is established. SVFR Wx Mins: 800/1

Helicopters operating in the De Luz Canyon area may request a point Canyon entry. Aircraft shall fly directly down De Luz Canyon (heading 200 degrees) at or above 500’ AGL. Remain west (Right) of point canyon at 1200’ MSL. Do not over-fly the old Naval Hospital or adjacent base housing to the northeast. Enter a left downind for RWY 03. WX Mins: 800/1

Nordo Procedures

A

VFR:

  • Squawk 7600, enter Class D via one of the VFR routes, and enter a ‘Delta’ pattern over the field at 2000’ MSL
  • During Daytime: Rock wings/ tip path plane
  • At night: flash landing and/or position lights
  • Expect a light gun signal from the tower.

SVFR:

  • Squawk 7600
  • Outbound: If still inside Class D airspace, reverse course and proceed inbound for landing
  • Inbound: If you have a clearance, continue inbound for landing.
  • If you are outside Class D airspace with no clearance, maintain VFR and/or remain outside Class D airpace

Structure and LZ on the ridgeline 2.2 miles from the center of the runway. Intermediate reporting point inside class “D” airspace.

Warning: The MASS-3 ridgeline has nemerous obstructions, including the NFG TACAN at approximately 700ft MSL, and Power lines at aproximately 719ft MSL
