Adenomas are smaller
Carcinomas have no capsule
If secreting both will cause atrophy to the rest of the cortex (Cortizol or Aldosteron)

  2. Proximal muscle weakness
  3. Hyperglycemia, Polydipsia, Glucosuria.
  4. Catabollic effects
  5. More infections

Cushing syndrome - Diagnosis - 3

A
  1. collect urine for 24 h to measure cortizol
  2. measure ACTH
  3. Dexmatzon depression test (If ACTH high and can be depressed its cusing disease, if cant be its ectopic secretion, if ACTH low its adrenal tumor.)
