What is perception?

A

Using information types we are not good at analysing, like areas, 3D or difficult colour schemes

What is deception?

A

Purposefully using graphs to mislead the reader. For example colour schemes, 2D and 3D when representing 1D variables, or grouping information into bins of different sizes.

Why are stacked boxplots bad?

A

We are bad at comparing lengths, especially if the bins are un-aligned

A

Easy to extract data (X and Y positions) when looking at 2D data.
