Q

What were Japanese Internment Camps?

A

Japanese Interment Camps were places that over 122000 Japanese Americans were sent to go live in starting from pearl harbor to a bit after the end of WWII. These Camps were basically prisons for the Japanese, even though they did nothing wrong. These Japanese Internment Camps were a form of scapegoating, where the American people belammed the entire Japanese American population to be spies, and therefore said they should be punished, and these camps were the result of that.

Q

How did the U.S government repay the Japanese Americans after WWII?

A

Eventually, the U.S said that if a Japanese American could prove that they were a survivor of the Internment Camps, they would get a cash bonus. Now although this barely makes up to a fraction of the experience they had to endure, it was better than nothing.
