A
• people are attracted to suburbs
(Less crime, bigger houses, more green space, less traffic)
•services then follow people
•could lead to formation of edge city

Economic issues?
A
- deprivation in CBD and affluent move away
- leads to urban decline as out of town shopping parks are more accessible
- leads to ‘donut effect’ where people and services leave the CBD
- death of ‘high street’ footfall low
