What is hardware?

Example: 8GB RAM lets you run multiple programs.

Permanent memory that stores startup instructions.
Example: BIOS is stored in ROM.

Software that manages hardware and runs other software.
Example: Windows 11, macOS.
What is a file extension?
A suffix that shows the file type.
Example: .docx, .jpg, .mp3.
What is file compression?
Reducing file size to save space.
Example: Zipping a file.
What is a backup?
A copy of data stored in case the original is lost.
Example: Saving to Google Drive or a USB.

Malicious software meant to damage your system.
Examples: Virus, spyware, ransomware.
