What is the purpose of each of the three phases of the ARM?
Phase I Reset is primarily to recover, conduct individual readiness, and be available for taskings.
Phase II Trained / Ready is to conduct collective training events resulting in certification and validation
Phase III Available is the phase in which units are ready, validated, and available for operational missions.
What is the CV2 Program?
Certification. All deploying units, regardless of their mission, will be certified that the unit has trained to standard on their core and assigned METL by the unit Commander one level up. Commander will confirm that unit training, individual and collective, was conducted to standard and unit is mission capable.
Verification. All units, regardless of their mission, will be verified by the command two levels up. Commander confirms unit mission readiness in accordance with the mission essential task list (METL) and theater-specific training requirements.
Validation. All units deploying to a named operation will be validated through a formal external evaluation (EXEVAL). Validation will be endorsed by the commander three levels up. Commander endorses that the unit is fully mission capable for the directed mission.

Certification – Unit Commander
Verification – Company Commander
Validation – Battalion Commander
What is the Directed Training Alignment (DTA)?
DTA is a mutually beneficial training alignment that facilitates the need of AC and NG mission and training requirements. Establishes a dedicated, year-round training relationships between AC and NG units.
What are the Three Categories of RMT?
Category III, Major Risk
Category II, Moderate Risk
Category 1, Minor Risk
Who is the Approval Authority for RMTs?
Category III, Major Risk: CDR USSOCOM
Category II, Moderate Risk: CG, 1st SFC(A)
Category 1, Minor Risk: CSU O-6 with command Authority
