What is the birth rate for stage 1 of the DTM?
High because the survival rate for children are low, and because children are an economic asset
What is the birthrate for stage 2 of the DTM?
High; children are economic asset, don’t know how many children will live and survive through adulthood
What is the Birth Rate for stage 3 of the DTM?
declining; better medical advancements, allows the survival rate to be higher. Also, a lot of families now live in urban households, so, smaller families are encourages(no longer economic asset)
Birthrate for stage 4 of the DTM?
low: more woman working and have education, urban areas rather than rural areas where children are no longer economic asset
Death rate of stage 1 of the DTM?
High: bad sanitation, technology, lack of food and healthcare/medicine
death rate of stg 2 of the DTM?
Declining: industrial revolution, and the money earned from the manufacturing better goods are spent on better technology, sanitation, helps with preventing diseases
Death rate of stage 3 of the DTM.
low: good medical/healthcare, more food

- After the agricultural revolution, people started to farm

- better tech+sanitation ~~~ helps prevent diseases
- population is increasing
