Before a masculine noun that starts with a consonant use:

Before a masculine noun that starts with a vowel, use:

Before ANY feminine singular noun, regardless of its beginning letter or sound, use:

Before ANY plural noun, masculine or feminine, use
ces

Ce celle and cet mean:

Ces means:

To use this/ that to express that what you’re referring to is CLOSE, say:
Ce (etc.) -ci
Ce couple-ci
(This couple here)
(Ces biscuits-ci)
To use the demonstrative adjective to refer to something that is NOT close, use:
Ce, cet, cette or ces-là
Translate “We’ll have this ice cream, not that one.”
On prend (not Nous prendrons?) cette glace-ci, pas cette glace là.
