Technology of brain scans has developed overtime. CAT scans used multiple x-ray beams to gain detailed image on structure. Now FMRI use strong magnetic field to affect protons which gives information on structure and activity rather than just structure which was a limitation of CAT. Supported by Yurgelon-Todd et all used FMRI to look at sz brain structure and activity and found low activity in frontal lobes.

Evolution stated there was a large difference in brains structure between males and females due to testosterone exposure pre and post birth.
