OCR will read characters and convert them into digital text.

What is an optical mark reader?
A
OMR will read marks on a pre printed sheet. Used for surveys, multiple voice forms and lottery tickets

A
A RFID tag attached to clothing triggers an alarm when passed through sensors

A
When the barcodes on products are scanned the unique pattern is turned into a product code

Magnetic strip readers will read the strip on a card. The strip is known as a magstripe.
