Q

What is the difference between Mediation and Concilliation?

A

The key difference comes down to the role of the mediator or conciliator. The mediator will try to facilitate a conversation between the two parties in order to come to a solution or agreement without offering advice, whereas the conciliator will make interventions, offer advice and try to suggest solutions in order to resolve the conflict.
The conciliator is more active.
The mediator is simply a facilitator.
