what should you monitor for if you have a patient with uncontrolled T2DM

A

1) Dawn phenomenon- normal blood glucose levels until 3am, then spike up.
2) Insulin waning- progressive increase in glucose levels from bedtime to morning
3) Somogyi effect:
nocturnal hypoglycaemia then rebound hyperglycaemia.
