What is the command line and function of CHKDSK/Check Disk
This is used to check for errors on the disk
CHKDSK/F will fix logical errors on the disk but must restart before using
CHKDSK/R locates bad sectors, and recovers information but must restart before using

This will open the command line disk partitioning tool inside your computer,
What is the function of FORMAT
this will format a disk,

gives you the version and information of the device
Group Policy
Admininsters will set up how you use your account, they give you policies
GPUPDATE, updates the group policy for that user and automatically done when logging in
GPRESULTS, displays the current group policy

Performance Tab allows you to view CPU, Memory, Network, statistics, data, and information.
Includes a link to the Resource Monitor Tools which is useful for collecting large swaths of data

User tab shows what users are connected and what they’re using on the computer

IN service tab, you can view the status of Windows Services. Link to actual service tool is found at the bottom

Found in Windows system log, good for troubleshooting errors and crashes.
Various event levels include information, warning, critical, and error.
What is the function of Microsoft Management Console (MMC)?
Allows users to create their own sets of commonly used tools.
Depending on what you use on the regular you can add snap-in or features as you please
Disk Management (MMC)
Used to create, format, delete, and resize partitions for hard disks. Used to first set up a brand new hard drive ( initialization)
Has more partitions, partitioning styles, and file systems later

View security and certificate issues to the PC
Certificate is to show no issues, no changes
Task Scheduler (MMC)
Create and manage common tasks for the computer to do automatically

Set up reports to capture performance information over time, save reports to the disk, and useful for monitoring performance over a period of time vs. instantaneous
