What is Fixture outlet pipe
A pipe that connects a fixture to its trap 1 meter max
Fixture P Trap
A fitting or device installed in a waste pipe that holds a liquid known as the trap seal 38mm or 1 1/2 depth
Fixture drain
Connects pipe to other drainage pipe
Back vent
A vent pipe that connects to the individual vent
Continuous waste and vent
A drain pipe that also acts as a vent pipe and is continuously vertical and flushed (moist)
Horizontal branch
A horizontal drain pipe that picks up more than 1 fixture
Sanitary unit fixture
A fixture that discharges human waste

Vertical stack/pipe
A vertical pipe that picks up fixtures other than sanitary units
Soil stack
A vertical soil pipe that goes through 1 or more floors and includes offsets, it picks up sanitary units and other fixtures
Rain water leader
A pipe installed on a flat roof that carries storm water to the storm building sewer
storm-rain, sleet, hail, snow
Stack vent
The extension of a soil or waste stack above the highest waste connection
Vent stack
A continuous run of pipe that carries only air
Sanitary building drain
A building drain that carries sanitary waste and connects to the sanitary building sewer
Storm building drain
A building drain that conveys storm water to the storm building sewer (rain, snow, hail, etc)
Sanitary building sewer
Connects the sanitary drain to the public sewer (1m past your porch)

The length along the center line of pipe and fittings
Individual vent
1 vent for 1 trap

A vent that only transports air doesn’t deal with waste water

the point where water will overflow the fixture due to a blocked or choked drain/vent
