on final approach

WINDSHEAR on T/O
Before V1:
*Reject if sufficient RWY
After V1
- THR LEVERS:SIMULTANEOUSLY CALL “FIREWALL” AND SET OR CONFIRM TOGA
- REACHING VR: ROTATE AND FOLLOW SRS
-If necessary the flight crew may pull the sidestick fully back to follow SRS.
NOTE: If the FD bars are not displayed, move toward an initial pitch attitude of 17.5 °. Then, if
necessary, to prevent a loss in altitude, increase the pitch attitude
Airborne/climb/landing
- THR LEVERS:SIMULTANEOUSLY CALL “FIREWALL” AND SET OR CONFIRM TOGA
- AP (if engaged):KEEP ON
- SRS ORDERS:FOLLOW
- ** DO NOT CHANGE CONFIGURATION (SLATS/FLAPS, GEAR) UNTIL OUT OF WINDSHEAR.
***CLOSELY MONITOR FLIGHT PATH AND SPEED. - **RECOVER SMOOTHLY TO NORMAL CLIMB OUT OF WINDSHEAR.
EGPWS
“Dont sink” “sink rate”“glideslope”
Above 1000AGL:
*flighpath/configuration:adjust
“Dont sink” “sink rate”“glideslope”
“Too low flaps” “too low gear”
Below 1000AGL
*Go around
PULL UP”
“TERRAIN AHEAD, PULL UP”
“TERRAIN, TERRAIN”
“TOO LOW TERRAIN”
“TERRAIN AHEAD”
- Call “FIREWALL” and simultaneously:
- AP:OFF
*PITCH:PULL FULL BACKSTICK
*Pull to full backstick and maintain in that position
*THRUST LVRS:TOGA
*SPEEDBRAKE LVR:CHECK RETRACTED
*BANK:WINGS LEVEL or ADJUST
***NOTE:Respect stall warning if not in normal law.
Cancel TOGA LK and smoothly reduce pitch
towards level flight and accelerate. Restore AP and
FD.
- ATC: notify
- Call “go around flaps”
- Perform go aroud procedures
Engine fail high altitude cruise
- Thrust levers: MCT and A/THR off
- Speed: select speed and green dot and PULL
- Heading:PULL and turn as required
- Alt: select max eng out alt and PULL
- Atc: notify
- Ecam: accomplish
Descent strategy:
***If a Drift Down / Obstacle Clearance Strategy is to
be used:
– Select Speed: Green Dot and PULL
– Select Target Altitude: Maximum EO / MEA,
and PULL
***If a Standard Strategy is to be used:
– Select Speed: M.78/300 kt and PULL.
– Select Target Altitude: Long Range Cruise
ceiling and PULL
***If a Fixed Speed Strategy is to be used:
– Select Speed: M.78/320 kt and PULL
– Select Target Altitude: approx. 15,000 ft and
PULL
NOTE:
This strategy is recommended for ETOPS
diversions.
Low energy go around
- Call “FIREWALL”
- apply TOGA thrust
- adjust pitch to touchdown attitude
Stall at liftoff
**Simultaneously call “STALL” and:
**APPLY TOGA THRUST
- PITCH 15 NOSE UP
- *ROLL WINGS LEVEL.
Stall
Simultaneously **call "STALL" and: **APPLY NOSE DOWN PITCH CONTROL. **ROLL WINGS LEVEL. When out of stall (stall indications have stopped):
**INCREASE THRUST SMOOTHLY AS
REQUIRED.
**CHECK SPEED BRAKES RETRACTED.
**SMOOTHLY RECOVER TO THE DESIRED
FLIGHT PATH.
If in clean configuration and below 20 000 feet:
–
**CALL “FLAPS 1”
When control of flight path regained and ground contact not a factor:
**Accelerate to F or S speed, ensure safe altitude and
call “GO-AROUND FLAPS”.
**Continue with go-around procedures, configuring
the aircraft as required.
e.g., “GEAR UP”, select Climb Thrust and engage
Autothrust.
Call for FLAPS Lever selections on schedule.
