DSM intellectual disorder
- Deficit in intellectual functioning ( abstract thinking, maths, IQ)

Autism Spectrum Disorder DSM
A. Persistent deficits in social communication and social interaction
i social emotional reprocity
ii non verbal expression
iii relationships - maintaining one, starting
B Restricted , repetitive behaviour ( interests or activities) with two of the following
i Stereotyped or repitive behaviour
ii insistance on sameness
iii hypo or hyperactive with stimuli
ADHD
A. A persistent pattern of inattention and/or hyperactivity that has impacting on functioning or development. As characterised by (1) or (2):
1 Inattention (6 or more)( some of them):
Overlooks or misses details
Difficulty remaining focused
Starts tasks but easily loses focus
Difficulty organising tasks or activities
Often loses things
Easily distracted by external stimuli
2. Hyperactivity( 6 or more) Fidgets Often leaves seat when asked to sit down Runs and climbs in appropriate situations Acting as if driven by a motor Talks a lot - in excess Blurts out answer before others had an opportunity Difficulty waiting for there turn Interrupts others
GAD DSM
Excessive anxiety and worry occurring most days for at least 6 months about a number of events and activities
Cant control the worry
3 or more of the following 6 Restlessness Easily fatigue Mind blank, difficulty concentrating Irritable Muscle tension Sleep disturbance
Agoraphobia
A marked fear or anxiety about two or more of the following 5:
A using public transport
B Being in open spaces
C Being in closed spaces e.g.
cinema or shops
D Standing in a line or being in a crowd
E Being outside the home alone
Has been around of 6 months
OCD
Obsession:
- Thoughts, urges or images that are experienced as intrusive and cause anxiety/distress
- The person attempts to suppress the thoughts by using some other thought or action
Compulsion:
1. Repetitive mental acts or behaviours- rules and are rigid
- These behaviours and mental acts reduce distress
Consuming at least 1 hour per day
Body Dysmorphic Disorder
Preoccupation with one or more perceived flaws in physical appearance that are not observable or appear slight to others
At some point during the disorder - performs repetitive disorder or mental acts
Causes clinical distress - social/occupational/interpersonal
The pre-occupation is not better explained regarding weight with eating disorders
