Difference between MEL ref and Defect number?
Ref: 27-92-01A
Defect number:
Ex: P001 (found on sticker)

But what does E PROC mean?
No EDTO downgrade but requires to follow certain procedures

Can The prepare Flight section be done before the aircraft is released?
Yes.
It should be done asap.
Cabin crew login is only available after the commander has done the prepare Flight

Deicing seems quite flexible, what are the methods of selecting?
-Prepare flight stage
-Reporting tab
Note: if deicing prepared but not used it can be left open and the flight closed and it will be ignored
If enter a defect and press confirm what happens?
The fault will be listed as a TL item under the open item section.
Be careful because if you divert these open items will need to be fixed
Sometimes best to make note and at the end of the flight
During close flight (AML)
If incorrect data was entered (Flight number, origin, destination, 000I and confirm button pressed, can it be changed?
Yes.
Only through ENG profile.

Scenario:
Aircraft has been released and a commander acceptance confirmed but the park break has not been released.
Now find defect that needs to be entered and fixed…what to do?
Close flight using did not depart gate
Then raise the defect
This insures the defect is attributed to the correct sector.

Engineer will fill out paper AML
Flight Crew will fill in paper AML and copy info into E- techlog
If aircraft was dispatched under article 11 what needs to be done upon arrival at Hong Kong or engineer supported station?
Flight Crew need to report defect in Etechlog with the following description:
Aircraft Dispatch under …..
Referred to TL ….
Or
Refer to LP…
And
Description of defects and previous action taken
Certificate of release to Service CRS will be issued before the next departure

Can a deferral be entered into the tech log by the Captain?
Defects under MEL that do not require maintenance (M) action can be deferred in the tech log by the commander.
