other variables to consider in social exchange theory

-does the person feel like they have other options or is this as good as they can do
-how much has been invested into the relationship ship
equity theory
the most important determinate of satisfaction in a relationship is that both parties feel comparably rewarded by relationship
communal relationship
not about keeping score, just want everyone to be happy
